Ed regularly undertakes continuing training and has completed the postgraduate Restorative Dentistry MSc course at Plymouth University. He is passionate about his work and hopes his calm approach makes his patients feel at ease during all their visits. Outside of work, Ed enjoys paddle boarding, cycling, walking in the countryside and spending time with friends and family.

As a principal here at Wellswood and Babbacombe Dental Practice, he has a special interest in saving teeth with complex root canal treatments and gum health solutions. His gentle, reassuring approach ensures that even the most nervous patients feel comfortable and at ease. Dr. Geraldes stays up to date with the latest dental advancements, recognising how oral health is linked to overall well-being—including heart disease, diabetes, and even dementia. For the past 10 years, he has focused on treating the main causes of tooth loss, helping patients keep their natural teeth for as long as possible.

Ellie is dedicated to ensuring every visit runs smoothly and that the team around her feels supported and motivated every step of the way.

Alanah has developed a particular passion for root canal treatments, finding it incredibly rewarding to help relieve patients’ pain and restore their confidence through effective care.

Courtney joined the team at Wellswood & Babbacombe Dental in March 2026, bringing with her valuable experience gained from working on reception at a private dental practice.
It was during this time that Courtney’s passion for dentistry really flourished. Seeing the impact that smile transformations had on patients’ confidence inspired her to take the next step and pursue a career as a dental nurse.
Courtney’s background in patient facing reception work means she understands the importance of making every patient feel welcome and at ease from the moment they walk through the door.
Outside of the practice, Courtney enjoys going on walks with friends and family and loves attending concerts.

Laura’s journey into dentistry began through a close connection with a family friend working in the dental profession, Laura gained a unique insight into the industry that sparked a passion and inspired her to pursue a career of her own.
Before joining the world of dentistry, Laura gained experience working with animals, bringing with her a naturally caring and compassionate approach that translates beautifully into patient care.
Outside of the practice, Laura is a keen gym goer and loves getting out on hikes, as well as spending quality time with friends and family.
